Welcome to 'Lost in the Myths of History'

It often seems that many prominent people of the past are wronged by often-repeated descriptions, which in time are taken as truth. The same is also true of events, which are frequently presented in a particular way when there might be many alternative viewpoints. This blog is intended to present a different perspective on those who have often been lost in the myths of history.

Fabulous!! Congratulations, Elena - a brilliant interview :-) I've only had the chance to watch the first video so far but am really looking forward to watching the others today!
Thank you, Matterhorn, for uploading these.

Meant to say...I especially enjoy your description of your reasons for writing the book as a novel rather than a dry history book. "The essence of the characyer..." - absolutely!! :-)

I am glad I put this up, in time for the anniversary of the Queen's death.

Elena, I really enjoyed your interview. Thank you!
The parts about Orleans (and the printing press) and poor Madame Royale's fear of loud noises, blood etc. were especially fascinating (and sad!) to me. Also, your interesting comments towards the end re. the plot to destroy the French monarchy and the Catholic Church....Throughout the next century and beyond, that plot so clearly continued on its way to destroying the 'independent' monarchies of Russia and Germany - in fact anywhere that stood in the way of a so-called 'global' community governed by several (28, I believe) families of bankers and industrialits and power-seekers. Thank goodness for people who see through the myths of history!
Thank you for your lovely explanations of so many of MA's and Madame Royale's experiences! A really interesting interview!
